When I write a mystery I sprinkle in some suspense, a few thrills and a touch of romance. In this two-book series I added a lot of suspense and a serial killer on the loose. Are you ready to read this unputdownable series – Hunting Mariah and Mariah’s Revenge?

When I wrote this book my daughter was on her way to college. As any mother would be, I was nervous about her going there and walking at night to and from classes. I had heard about a rape on a college campus at that time. This caused me to have a nightmare that became the idea for this book.

I had many more dreams about this as I was writing this book. I couldn’t get the killer out of my head or my dreams, night or day. He drove me crazy because he wanted me to tell his story. I published the first book in 2014 but didn’t want to do another. When I was requested to continue the story by a reader, I took up the task and again had nightmares once the killer invaded my dreams. I waited until 2018 to complete the second book.

A new man comes into Mariah’s life that reminds her of someone she wants to forget. He threatens to bring back the horrors that she and her family once endured. While the one she wants to forget suffers from a horrendous attack that puts his life in jeopardy.

Mariah must draw on her strength and resilience to survive danger at every turn. How much more can Mariah endure? How far will Mariah go to protect her family?

Both of these books were Finalists in the Authorsdb First Lines Contest. The prologue is gripping and brutal. You will have to take a deep breath and keep reading as many of these readers did to put my books in the finals of this contest.

Now that I am into many other projects Mariah keeps invading my mind again. I think she wants to continue to tell her story or come up with a new one to share with readers. Since I am into three projects at this time, Mariah will have to wait. I will keep pushing her to the back of my mind until I can take on the task once again.

Writing this type of story takes a lot out of the writer. I felt exhausted by dealing with the brutal and raw thoughts and deeds of the killer. I hope you hold on tight as you read these books. They will leave you breathless as I was writing them, I’m sure.
