Here is another recipe that you will find in a Chinese restaurant. My husband likes this so I decided to make it and save a trip to the restaurant. I think mine came out better so he told me.
Ingredients:
- Medium onion sliced
- 2-3 stalks celery sliced
- 6 mushrooms sliced
- Water chestnuts
- Pea pods
- Bean Sprouts
- 10 Shrimp peeled and deveined
- Pkg rice noodles or other kind of noodles
- olive oil – garlic flavored & chili flavored or plain
- 1 cup water
- 2 Tb arrowroot
- 1-2 tsp bouillon chicken or other
Directions:
- Cook noodles and set aside, keep warm
- Add 2 Tb olive oil to wok pan
- Sauté onions, celery until translucent
- Add mushrooms, Water chestnuts and pea pods sauté until heated through
- Add Shrimp and cook until pink
- Add bean sprouts
- Add water with arrowroot and bouillon and mix together
- Heat through until thickened
- Add cooked noodles to mixture and combine or put noodles in plates and add mixture over them (I add noodles to mixture and combine, but either way it works.)
Enjoy! This serves 3. We always have leftovers enough for a lunch the next day. Add more ingredients if more servings are needed.
I hope you enjoy this recipe and that you will add it to your favorites.
