What Genres Do you Like to Read? Do you like fantasy?

Since I enjoy writing in different genres for all ages, I am curious about which genres are your favorites. I am open to doing something different and enjoy creating new stories in a varied way. I would love to hear what you are reading and/or what you would like to read.

I am presently working on book 3 of the Gateskin Chronicles which is a fantasy/adventure series. In this series you will find magic, mystery, wizards, fairies, sprites, strange creatures and plenty of surprises.

Though I do find writing fantasy thrilling, it is also hard work creating so many characters, creatures and places and coming up with intriguing names and premises to catch the attention of readers. I will be spending much of 2023 working on the next installment of this series below. I hope you will check it out soon and let me know what you think? Do you like the characters? Are they interesting? Dot you want to see more strange happenings and creatures introduced? I look forward to hearing from you about this. It would be helpful to have your input. If I use any of your suggestions I will make sure to give you credit!

Writing fantasy enables the writer to create something from nothing and make it magical. There is no end to how far the characters can take a tale.

Do you love to read fantasy? At times I do while other times I prefer something more realistic to read.

As an author of multi-genres I keep my mind open to all genres to an extent. The only genres I prefer not to read are Zombie-like stories, explicit material and horror. Though I have written a couple of short stories in the horror genre but nothing so horrific that it would turn your stomach or frighten you half to death! I’ll do another post on that subject soon!

Now back to the fantasy genre – I have always had a wild imagination since I was young. I imagined myself in far off places, flying here and there and seeing unimaginable sights. Sometimes I was a princess in a castle, other times I was a fairy flitting here and there in the reeds and flowers of some exotic land, and still other scenes I was a sorcerer with my own dragon.

Just stating my dreams of young spurns me to create some stories out of these imaginations. My brain is sparking with ideas that one day may become another series of books. Who knows?

I have been away on vacation on a much needed recharge. Now it is time for me to get back to the drawing board and the three WIPs that are sitting impatiently waiting for me to return to them. While I was away I did not write anything in my stories but posted a few blogs about my trip to Aruba. I read seven books and wrote seven reviews to showcase on my Monthly Reads and Reviews for the month of November. Watch for them!

Now I must get back to my WIP and put in some time before my mind wants to take a nap. I hope you will check out all my books on Amazon and Barnes & Noble soon. I would love to hear from you!

I don’t know if my little gray cells are geared for creating fantasy. I suspect that for writers like you, it comes easily!
