Back from Aruba Vacation!

It’s always wonderful to go away on vacation but it’s lovely to return home sweet home! We had a relaxing and fun vacation in the beautiful little Happy Island of Aruba. We swam, walked, ate, walked and relaxed for 21 days. It was fabulous! We had to walk a lot to burn off all the calories we at! Ha!

The food there is excellent – plenty of fish and other seafood! I had my fill for sure. There are also many other kinds of restaurants – Italian, pizza, Chinese and steak houses. Each one was enjoyable. Though this year we did repeat some night at Blossoms Chinese (3 times), Chalet Suisse (steak 2 times), Red Parrot (all inclusive restaurant at Divi Tamarind – 2 times), though we enjoyed the first time much more than the second.

This year I noticed there were three Little Libraries around our resort. A nice touch for readers to find something to read while relaxing on the beach. I plan to bring a few of my books to add to the libraries. A nice way to introduce my books to Aruba.

Another thing I noticed this year on this island was that many of the roaming dogs and cats were being adopted and taken to new homes with vacationers. Here is a photo of a dog who lay down near us. Do you think he was trying to hint that he wanted to come home with us? He was sweet! We were not looking for a pet at this time. Sigh!

On our flight home there were two kittens and a dog that were going to new homes. The animals are taken to the shelter and given shots and thoroughly checked over before being released to their new families. It cost $300 to complete this process and fly them home. Such a nice thing to do since there are so many animals running loose on the island.

Now that I am back from vacation I need to get back to work big time on my three WIP. I plan to complete book 3 of Gateskin Chronicles, book 2 of Branyrd the Angel Series, and book 2 of Bedtime Stories for Children in 2023. If I somehow manage to complete these projects, I just may have another project up my sleeve to introduce to you. It will be a surprise to me too though!

In the meantime please check out my current works on Amazon and Barnes & Noble. I would love to hear from you about any of my books. I avidly welcome your reviews too!
