Writing Fantasy/Paranormal Series is fun!

Recently I published my first book in a new fantasy/paranormal series for YA and adults. The character came to me one day when I was watching the news of all the horrific things that keep happening in our world today.

This new paranormal/fantasy is The Misunderstood Angel (Branyrd the Angel Series Book 1). I created this character (angel) with the intent of trying to fix the problems of the world my way. In each book Branyrd will help others in need and try to change the way they live and think making them happier and healthier. I only wish we could really do this in our world today. Sigh!

Branyrd is a different kind of angel. She doesn’t fit inside the box and does everything outside of it. The Lord had a difficult time keeping her in line. She is all heart and soul, that’s if an angel could have a heart and soul. I hope to have four books in this series unless Branyrd requests six. We’ll see how she feels about this fact. If the stories keep coming to me easily then there may be more. My muse has been nudging me to get writing again. The only problem with my muse is he/she keeps popping ideas into my head that cover three different books and series! Yikes! I guess my muse was not happy staying quiet while I was vacationing and relaxing!

I have had so much fun creating Branyrd. She has become alive for me and in my thoughts daily. Even though this series is stated for 18+, a younger audience of 15+ will enjoy it too. Adults who have read it have enjoyed it and had a few chuckles over Branyrd and her misadventures becoming a full-fledged angel.

Book 2 is in the works now along with two other series books. I’ve got my hands and head full of all kinds of ideas that I hope to share with you in 2023 and beyond. It’s so exciting to feel charged by a character as I do by Branyrd. She is sweet, endearing, strong, resilient and smart. You will love her!

If you haven’t checked out The Misunderstood Angel, now is the time to get this book and laugh and cry along with Branyrd today. Thank you!
