At this writing I have 19 children’s books for PS-Grade 3. Seventeen of these books are in rhyme while the other two are not. They all carry life lessons that encourage children to be kind, caring and sensitive to others’ feelings, help others in need and it’s okay to be different. Hop on JEMSBOOKS EXPRESS today with your children and peruse my award-winning children’s books today!

Jemsbooks Express created by John Spina

In a series of posts I will focus on one children’s book at a time. I will share a little about each book, how I came up with the story, what each means to me and how important each one is.

The next book that is being showcased is Jerry the Crabby Crayfish. Jerry was a real crayfish, a pet, who lived in a 20-gallon freshwater fish tank. He could be cantankerous at times especially when he was hungry. Those times he would tap on the glass to get our attention and let us know he was hungry. He also did not like anyone to tap on the glass back. He would angrily wave his claws at whoever dared to do that. My grandkids did that often just to see his reaction. They loved Jerry and were so sad when he passed. Me too! He was quite the character! I wrote this book to memorialize and share him with children everywhere. This book means a lot to me to keep Jerry’s memory alive.
