Ricky is a rambunctious or very active raccoon who likes to wander around to find something new to eat. One night during his foraging for food Ricky runs into all kinds of trouble. Will Ricky get home safely? Will he learn his lesson to listen to his mother?

This book was created after I observed some raccoons on our deck getting into mischief. We haven’t seen them back since. They were trying to get into our bird feeders and made a mess on our back deck.

In this story Ricky is a mischievous and rambunctious raccoon who ventures out on his own one night. What transpires is quite comical. Ricky gets into all kinds of trouble and remembers what his mother said about going out at night alone. Children will love this book which is done in nighttime mode to enhance the creatures and setting for raccoons. After all, they are nocturnal creatures.

Parents have made comments about this being so funny they laughed out loud. I love the illustrations created by my talented husband, John. I hope you will enjoy them too.
