Another book for Summer Reading for 18+ – Lubelia Alycea – historical fiction/romance novel!

Are you looking for an unforgettable historial fiction/romance novel this summer? This is the book for you – Lubelia Alycea One Hundred Years! This book is dedicated to and in memory of my grandmother who lived to be 100 years and five months old. She died on Mother’s Day many years ago.

My grandmother (Avoa in Portuguese) was a formidable woman, cantankerous and unyielding in everything she did in her lifetime. I based the main character on her personality. Even though this story is a work of fiction, I did include some things she did – e.g. she got her license when she was 48 years old, she traveled alone to see her brother in Brazil, and she was a wonderful support when I needed help with my son. She was always there when I needed her. I miss her still today!

She loved to read romance novels and I am sure she would have loved this book for the romance I created and embellished just for her. If this has piqued your interest, please check it out today on Amazon below.

Blurb:

Lubelia Alycea leaves her native country of Madeira, Portugal to travel to her new home – America.

This is the story of how a strong, resilient young girl grows into a formidable woman. She must survive many tragedies in her lifetime, separation from family, sickness, death, betrayal, and a lost love. Will she find happiness and a new love in her life?

Will she be strong enough to face the storms ahead and still keep her family together? Will the secrets in her life destroy her and all that she holds dear?

Travel along with Lubelia Alycea and feel her emotions, trials, losses and happiness. You will shed tears with her as you feel her pain. I cried as I wrote this story because it touched on so many times I spent with my Avoa and how much I miss her.
