This year we celebrated our 23rd anniversary. This year it was Father’s Day and also Juneteenth. It was a quiet time for us since my husband wasn’t feeling up to going out. He still remembered to give me some beautiful roses. I was thrilled! I wrote him a birthday poem which I do every year. He won’t settle for a regular card. I think it is extra special because I can put all my love into the poem. Of course I won’t share it here since it is private only for John’s eyes.
We were supposed to go out to dinner but instead I cooked one of John’s favorites, Shrimp Scampi. It’s one of my favorites too! It was delicious! I have to say even if I did make it.
Here are my roses.
John & I on our 23rd anniversary
It didn’t matter whether we went out or not as long as we were together. That makes it special. It was quiet but lovely being with my wonderful guy.
