Busy on my WIP and Crocheting and More!

The weather is in the deep freeze here in New England – low temps to below zero. I am staying in and keeping warm by working on my WIP and at night crocheting with blanket yarn that sits on my lap and warms me up. Love it!

As usual I have many projects lined up this year – several crochet projects that will be given as gifts throughout the year. This is the perfect time to do crochet since it is so cold. I cannot crochet in the summer unless I am working with some very light yarn.

I also have several guest posts for author interviews lined up over the next few months. I hope you enjoy these. I love to support my fellow authors and learn more about them and how they write. I have gained an enormous amount of valuable information from them. They are all so talented and creative. Go to Interview an Author.

Another project is to share more of my recipes with readers. I hope you are trying these out or will soon. Check out all my tasty, easy and quick recipes here under Janice’s Kitchen Corner. Here is a link to recipes.

Beef Stew – recent recipe

My WIP progress is coming along slowly but I am pleased by what the characters are telling me where to go with the story. I am now on Chapter nine. I only stop each day to prepare dinner. If I wasn’t married I would probably forget to eat. My lovely husband reminds me that it is time to start dinner each night. Sigh! I should be happy about that because I could waste away without food or sleep otherwise. Haha! At least I could lose some weight that way!

Here is The Legend of the Taken Ones Book 1 of Gateskin Chronicles on Amazon. Get into the adventures and see what other readers love about this fantasy series. That way you will be ready for Book 2! I plan to keep writing in this series all year and hopefully complete Books 2-5! Crazy, huh? My goal is to publish four books this year as I did in 2021. I may get tired of doing one series and do another genre in between. You just never know what where my muse will take me.

Blurb:

This is Book 1 of a fantasy series that will have six books in all. In this book learn about the three children of King Gateskin and his wife, Queen Solinara. The children have had powers since they were quite young..

Serena was three years old when she learned of her power to move objects with her mind. Her brother, Simon, can fly and their sister, Catalina, can become invisible or blend into her surroundings. They live with their parents in Sovorotskina, the Land of Light.

With these powers comes responsibility. The children must try to use their powers for the common good and responsibly to help others. The three children befriend a Sprite named Spindle who accompanies them on their adventure. Along the way they meet up with their aunt and uncle, their mother’s brother and his wife, Wizard Hotenfaran and Fairy Procelina. The group must travel into the evil land of Parotovina, Land of Darkness, to save King Gateskin, who was kidnapped, and also rescue some of the descendants of their friends and fellow Sovorotskinans who were captured and taken by the Evil Ones. These descendants have been waiting a long time to be free to return to the villages of their ancestors.

The children have many trials and adventures along the way. Will they be able to rescue their father and fellow Sovorotskinans without endangering their own lives? Will the evil King Kaposkaran and his Queen Beregina stop Serena and her siblings from being successful or will they turn Serena and her siblings to their dark ways?

Here are some reviews from Amazon.

Thank you so much for stopping by to read this post. There is always something interesting to read here. You never know what I will do next! Be prepared! Haha! Please come back again. You are always welcome.

Thank you for your support of my blog and books. Please review books wherever you purchased them. Reviews are like Christmas gifts all year round that keep on giving. I love to hear from readers and will answer any questions (within reason). I look forward to hearing from you.

Blessings & Hugs! Stay Safe, Stay Well and God Bless!

You are clearly enjoying the deep freeze! I just made a batch of beef stew last night, so we are on the same wavelength. I used leftover meat from a standing rub – I must say the meat flavor was fantastic and I simmered the bones in the broth first to give it flavor.

Sounds like you’re having a great time with craft projects and writing over there. I know what you mean about how you’d forget to eat if you didn’t have someone to remind you. I can get so in to something that I end up working on it way past food time if nothing happens to make me notice the time too. My dogs serve as my dinner time alarms, since they have their dinner at the same time as we do and aren’t about to let me get away with avoiding making it just so I can play with computers and craft supplies. I’ve ended up accidentally skipping lunch a few times though. LOL!
