Summer Flowers to enjoy!

I love sharing my photos of all our flowers especially in August. This is when our 18 Rose of Sharon Bushes are in bloom. I recently did a post about them but I had to share some new photos. I had miscounted the bushes. I thought we had 17 but I forgot my husband had planted another one in our walled flower garden. Each time I see another sprouting up I have my husband dig it up and put it somewhere else. He just rolls his eyes at me and sighs. Next year we may have 19. Ha!

Each flower is different. As I snap photos I look carefully at them and notice subtle differences. They are gorgeous and breathtaking to look at. I never tire of gazing at them. The humming birds are happy too as they flit from blossom to blossom drawing out the sweet nectar.

Some of the flowers look more pink while others look more purple or lavender. They will continue to bloom until September or when the cooler temperatures arrive. It’s a long wait to see the first blooms but I look forward to enjoying them each year. Once they begin blooming there is no end to their glory. I hope you are enjoying my photos as much as I enjoy taking them.

I am an avid photographer of flowers, food and whatever I find beautiful. In fact I recently had to move over 10K photos to my computer and to Google to clear space and memory. I think I have been too avid in snapping photos lately. I will have to move all these photos soon or I will be right back where I was before. Sigh! I want to keep all these lovely things in a place where I can keep going back to enjoy them. My mind can’t hold them all. It is already overcrowded with my writing. If you ever need cheering up feel free to peruse all my posts about flowers, birds, fish and all things beautiful. Thank you!

Thank you so much for stopping by to read this post. I hope you will come back again real soon. Thank you also for your kind support of my books, blog and for all the wonderful reviews you may have posted wherever my books are sold. Please keep those reviews coming! We authors live for reviews and appreciate the time and effort it takes a reader to write them.

  1. These are beautiful, Janice. They look like Hibiscus flowers.
