Here is the introduction along with two rhymes introducing two of the dragons who appear in Book 1. Each book will introduce new dragons by featuring a poem about them. The poems will help children remember the dragons by their names and colors.

DRYSTAN – RED DRAGON

Drystan is always looking for exciting things to do.

He is dynamic which means active and energetic too.

He is red but has dragon friends who are brown, green or blue.

DURWARD – BLUE DRAGON WITH YELLOW SPOTS

Durward is a brilliant shade of blue.

Yellow spots appear when he’s happy, it’s true.

He can fly so high into the sky

that he can disappear from view.
