A heartbreaking loss!

I feel my heart is breaking! Today is a sad day for me. I lost my Best Friend. I can’t stop the tears from flowing each time I think about her. I got the news this morning and have been in a stupor ever since. I can’t believe she is gone. I spoke with her a few days ago but she was not doing well. I knew it would be soon that she would leave. I didn’t want her to suffer any more. She had been sick for almost four years from cancer.

I felt I needed to pour my heart out here with all of you. It is the only way I can feel some of the pain leaving and let the tears flow and cleanse my heart. She will always be remembered and all our texts and photos will be treasured. I went through them all today and sent many photos to her husband to share with family at her wake. I pray for him to be strong and will be here for him, both my husband and I, to give him the support and love he will need to get through this terrible loss.

Here is a poem I wrote in her memory in between the tears that will not stop. I hope she can see them from above and know how much I will miss her.

Fran – My BFF

Sometimes a person comes into your life.

Maybe it is only for a short time.

But that person makes a difference.

She gives you hope, makes you laugh, cry.

She is someone you can share your hopes, dreams and fears.

She is someone you can feel a kinship, a friendship that will be cherished forever.

She is someone who is your sister not by blood but in your heart.

She is the first one with whom you want to share something happy, sad or disappointing.

She is someone who will cheer you up when you are feeling low.

She is someone who will be there for you in good times and bad.

She is someone who says you look good even if you don’t.

She is also someone who will be honest with you when she has to be.

She is someone who says she loves you and means it.

My BFF was that kind of friend and her name was FRAN.

She has left to go to Heaven and will save a place for me.

I know that she will be an angel watching over me.

I will miss her deeply and always keep her close to my heart and in my treasured memories.

Love, Jan

Thank you all for stopping by to read this post. Please pray for me to be able to accept this loss. I am trying hard to move on but I find it quite difficult. The memories keep flooding my brain. I find myself crying and then laughing over something we shared. I will keep busy writing, blogging and crocheting to clear my mind and will eventually accept that she is gone. I hope she keeps close watch over me. I will need that.

Keep your friends close and treasure them always. God bless you all.

Blessings & Hugs! Stay Safe, Stay Well and God Bless!
