Fortune Cookie Sayings!

We love Chinese food and have a couple of restaurants near us that we frequent. I always enjoy the fortune cookies at the end of the meal and the interesting fortunes enclosed.

Here are a few to enjoy:

An understanding heart warms all that are graced with its presence.

Every job is a self-portrait of the person who did it. Autograph your work with excellence.

Ambition knows no obstacles.

These fortunes hit home with me especially because of the work that I do as an author. I believe that when a book is written it holds some of my heart inside it for all to see.

I do believe that the job we do is a self-portrait of who we are and should be done to the best of our abilities.

As for ambition – if you genuinely believe in yourself and in your ability to do what you were meant to do in this life – then you will succeed.

I feel that God has gifted me with an ability to write and share my thoughts with others. I will try to use this ability to improve my craft and be worthy of being an author. I will continue to teach children, young and older, valuable life lessons through my stories and good family values.

Whatever we choose to do in life may it be what we excel in and makes us happy and fulfilled. I tell my children and grandchildren that once you find what you love to do, stick with it. Life is short but work is long and we must find something that makes life worthwhile.

May you find what makes you happy each day you wake up.

May you look forward to doing whatever that is with joy.

May you be successful in your life and spread that good fortune to others.

I often think about writing a memoir of my life, but after a little consideration, I change my mind. My life, though not exciting in any way, has been filled with many blessings for which I am grateful. I guess I could embellish my memoir a little or a lot with the help of my crazy imagination as I did in my book, Lubelia Alycea: 100 Years. It is an historical fiction/romance dedicated and in memory of my grandmother. I believe she would have loved it. She had a robust joy about life and was anything but shy about saying and doing whatever she wanted. She had a inimitable, contagious laugh that gave me a chuckle each time I visited with her. She was a memorable character and deeply missed.

Thank you so much for stopping by to listen to my ramblings. If you want to read a memorable book, please check out Lubelia Alycea on Amazon and Barnes & Noble. Come back soon!
