I hate to see all the plants and flowers outdoors die or fade away. We bring one plant in each year and have done so for 12 years or more. I have lost count. It is a hibiscus. The flowers are not quite as brightly colored salmon as they used to be but still beautiful.
We need to enjoy each positive thing in our lives, and these are keeping me upbeat. It is always difficult to see everything change so quickly. I do love the fall but the colors this year were not as brilliant but still enjoyable. I hope my flowers lift your spirits too. Now with the clocks changed it gets so dark earlier making it feel like the day is over before it begins. Sigh!

I really do miss all the summer flowers even though we did not get as many blossoms on the roses but plenty on the Rose of Sharon bushes. They were glorious. The Rose of Sharon prefers the late summer to early fall. They are now all cut down quite low and will grow tall again in 2024. I look forward to their beauty then.
The hibiscus above will flower inside the house eventually, but it will take some time before it becomes acclimated to the temperature change and the feel of the atmosphere in the house. This summer season was a disappointment. We didn’t get to eat out on our deck as many times as we would have liked but I hope that next year will be better.
Thank you so much for stopping by to read this post. I hope you enjoyed my photos and will come back again for updates on all kinds of things. Thank you for your support!

I just repotted my hibiscus but I keep it outside all year as the temp stays very mild in the winter and the sun shines just about every day. I hope it does OK in a new pot. Your plants are lovely.
Thank you, Darlene. it should settle in the new pot after a bit. Lucky that you have mild winters so that it will get the sun more. Xx
How lovely!
Thank you, Annette! I enjoy them all year round. Xx
Wow! I bring in some of the outdoor plants and hope they make it till the next spring. Many do, but they are in sorry shape by the end of winter. Yours look fabulous!
I give them Miraclegro weekly to keep them happy. Xx
I do, too, but weekly must be the key!
it makes for happy plants that give out green leaves and blossoms profusely. Xx
Yes!
My Christmas cactus is blooming! And we finally got a second grow lamp to help out lemon tree, which does NOT like to be inside!
That’s great! My son has a lemon tree that has provided fruit. He loves it! Xx
I seriously doubt our little tree will although it flowered last year!
Oh, so sad. I hope it does. I’ll find out what my son does to keep it happy. Xx
Thanks. We bought some citrus fertilizer, which it probably needs.
Good luck!
Yay, everything is blooming so brightly
