Taking a Break from my books!

After I completed my latest novel, a YA fantasy, The Legend of the Taken Ones, (Gateskin Chronicles Book 1) I decided to take a break from writing. Of course, I am still blogging, reviewing, reading, and promoting. I can’t get completely away from this business. It is in my blood.

Grab your copy of this YA fantasy and join into the excitement and let the adventure begin!!!

MG/PT/YA books are available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

This is the longest I have ever been not working on a new book. It’s been since the end of August. I want to get back to the YA fantasy series but I can’t seem to find the time. This past month and next month are quite busy with family commitments. I have also gotten into sewing projects lately. I have quite a few lined up to complete. I don’t know if I will get them all finished before the holidays which are fast approaching. Soon I will be into crocheting again. There may not be time to write another book.

I guess I will begin again after the holidays and start fresh with Book 2. I hope you can wait awhile for the next book. Once I begin it things will go faster with the help of a myriad of characters that keep growing. I may have trouble keeping them all straight too. That is why I put a list of the characters in the front of the book along with a map. The map will change as more lands and territories may be added.

The characters are talking to me as I try to write this. They want more action and danger introduced. Phew! Will I ever have any rest from them? I can answer that. No, I will not until the series is completed.

The same thing happened to me with my Mariah series of two books and maybe more coming over the next couple of years. The killer kept me awake at night whispering what he wanted to do next. I had to complete the story and get him out of my head. He is now gone but will he come back when I take up the series again with a spinoff of Mariah in a crime/mystery/detective series? I hope not! Yikes!

Well, in the meantime, I will be sewing, tapping, exercising and crocheting and of course my blogging and reading and reviewing. I always have a book in hand, sometimes two going at once – one on my Kindle and one on my Nook.
