I have 18 children’s books for ages 1-8, grades PS-Grade 3. All my books are written in rhyme with life lessons that teach children to be kind, caring and responsible.
It’s a wonderful feeling to see children actively engaged with a book whether they can read or not. Babies are fascinated with books. They look at the illustrations, colors and turn the pages activating their brain cells. It’s a joy to see. I read to my children from the time they were born. They love books and read to their own children when they were young.
By reading to your children from when they are babies you will bring up children who love books, love to read and will pass on that love for generations. Let’s bring up readers and thinkers.
The first children’s book that I wrote was Louey the Lazy Elephant. It is still my favorite. With each post I will focus on one of my children’s books. This post is all about Louey. Introduce your children to adorable Louey today.
If you are looking for an award-winning book, come to Jemsbooks. Louey the Lazy Elephant won a Mom’s Choice Award – Silver Medal! Jemsbooks have won 5 Silver Medals from MomsChoiceAwards.com and 5 Pinnacle Book Achievement Awards.
Jemsbooks Children’s books are available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
Here are some reviews for Louey.
I have always loved elephants, especially baby elephants. They are so much like children the way they play and interact with their mothers. Children love to read about baby animals and can relate easier to them. That is the reason I have written children’s books about animals. I want to connect with children and teach them important life lessons.
I wrote this book back in 2010 and published it in 2013. It was my first time publishing a book. I can still remember working on the cover and uploading all the book with my husband’s help. He has been my support system, cover creator and illustrator through all 18 children’s books. I couldn’t have done any of this without his help. He is a Godsend.
This was my first book and after 17 more books we are finished. I do not plan to write and publish any more children’s books. My plan is to continue writing but for older audiences 13+ and 18 and up. But, you never know what can happen. I could have a wonderful story pop into my head from a dream or an idea. For now, 18 is the number at which I stop. I hope you will enjoy all 18 of my children’s books.
Please consider giving books to all the children on your list for all occasions. There is nothing better than to see a child’s eyes light up when you give him/her a book – even more so when you read the book to them. You are giving them so much more than you could ever imagine, e.g., you spark their imagination, heighten their creativity, lift their spirits, increase their vocabulary, open up a whole new world to them, enhance their health and wellbeing and encourage them to love reading. The gift of a book is worth more than gold to our children, grandchildren. Keep reading and gifting books to children. Let’s bring up a generation of readers and thinkers. Thank you for your support!
Jemsbooks Children’s books are available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
I feel pure joy writing for children and hope with God’s help and blessing to continue to write many more fun adventures for children to read and enjoy. I do enjoy writing for MG/PT/YA and 18+ too!
