Busy working on my WIP! Sorry for no Posts lately! Watch for this new Book coming this summer!

Sorry for writing less posts lately. I have been busy with my WIP! I have a cover for it but not ready to share it just yet. I want to complete the editing stages of the story then I will post it for you. My husband did a lovely job on the cover. I hope you like it as much as I do.

The story keeps growing as I edit. I keep thinking of other things to add or change. This YA fantasy series is intended for 13+ audience. But I think it is suitable for the 10+ audience in Book 1 at present unless I add more violence. But don’t hold me to that just yet. I plan on adding more scenes that may cause my characters to have more violent behavior. I never know what they are going to do. They control the story line through most of it. I watch them closely and will rein them in if need be.

Being a writer of off-the-cuff material or a pantser is an exciting thing. I never know how the story will end because the characters keep changing things up a bit. I am like a reader and I read along as I type. My fingers fly across the keyboard and my husband who is close by working on another children’s book usually asks me where I am going in such a hurry. I guess my fingers on the keyboard sound like a runaway motor though softer.

I am already thinking about Book 2 in this series. I don’t know where the characters will go or what they will do. I hope they have some ideas because I am clueless. When I think about the task I have ahead of me with five more books, I cringe! Yikes! What am I going to write about? Will they lead the way again as they did in the first book? Will anyone want to read this series? I hate to think about that! It is always a worry that one’s story will not be accepted or liked.

When I began this story over ten years ago I had no idea where it was going. It was just a fun thing to do. As I mentioned before in another post I wrote this story the same time I wrote Lubelia Alycea. I was a little nervous about publishing the historical novel dedicated to the memory of my grandmother. But once I completed it and received such wonderful reviews I was thrilled and relieved. I guess I feel the same way about this new book. Will readers like it?

In the meantime get your children into magic/mystery/time travel/ghosts/friendship with Davey & Derek Junior Detectives Series 1-6 and Abby & Holly Series Books 1-6. These multi-award winning books will hook your children in and they will be reading all summer and learning important life lessons at the same time. Parents are reading and loving them too! Check out all the wonderful reviews of these series on Amazon.

When I wrote these two series I tried to publish two books a year to keep my readers interested. I hope to do the same with this new series – two books this year, two next year and two the following year. If I get really energized I may two three next year and finish off the following ear. Sigh! We’ll see! I’m not getting any younger or getting more energy that I noticed each year that passes. I promise to do my best. I don’t want to tarnish my reputation for publishing 4-5 books a year! My goal this year was four books. So far we have published two with two more in the works. We will make it! Yay!!
