Hunting Mariah by [JE Spina]
Hunting Mariah – my first novel

BLURB:

An insane killer, obsessed with blood and death, seeks revenge with those he perceives wronged him. He is now on the loose. His next victim may be Mariah.

Mariah has lost her memory. Will she remember what has transpired in her past? Can Mariah escape this deadly killer’s grasp. Will she finally be safe? Will the killer be apprehended?

Hunting Mariah was my first novel. It was quite a change for me from writing children’s books for PS-Grade 3 and MG/PT/YA chapter books. They were sweet and innocent with life lessons for children. Writing them I could be a kid again. It was so fun!

Once I began writing this novel I had to grow up a lot. I had to think like an adult and share the ugly side of life and the horrendous things that happen to people. I didn’t like it but I had no choice but to write this story.

Why, you ask? Well, some of my stories come from dreams I have had – and they are not all pleasant. In fact, they are quite violent in nature much to my chagrin. I wake up shaking at times and don’t want to go back to sleep. I feel as if I am in a Steven King movie and it keeps going around and around in my head. The only way I can get it out is to write it down and then I can sleep peacefully. Of course, that is until the next crazy dream comes to me. None of my dreams have been as violent as this one, thank goodness!

I say a little more about this in the above quest post. I hope you enjoy learning more about my writing and if you have not yet read Hunting Mariah or its sequel, Mariah’s Revenge, please check them out on Amazon or Barnes & Noble today. I promise you will not be disappointed. In fact you will not be able to put either book down! Hang on tight for a wild ride! Forget the dishes, laundry and dinner. You will read right through all of that and more until the shocking ending! Pick up the sequel to continue the story. Both of these books were Finalists in Authorsdb First Lines Contests!
