Celebrating our 22nd Anniversary!

I was surprised at 10:00 am with a gorgeous bouquet of colorful roses of different colors from my thoughtful husband! I love it! I wrote a poem for him.

Wow, time sure does fly! We celebrated our 22nd anniversary recently and went to dinner at our favorite place – Piccola Italia in Manchester, New Hampshire. Before dinner we went to the Palace Theatre for a wonderful show, The Uptown Boys, who sang Billy Joel songs.

Palace Theatre – lovely historic theatre

It was almost back to normal there. We could opt to wear masks or not when we went in or walked around until we were seated. But they were happy when we did wear them. We were in the balcony for the first time. I prefer to be on the first floor even though our view of the show was good, the seats were small and crowded together. But there were empty seats in front of and behind us. They are still trying to keep some open seats around everyone for safety sake.

It was a toe tapping, clapping and rousing show with the Uptown Boys! Here are a few photos I shared already on Instagram.

Here is the link to find out more about this historic downtown theatre.

There are no bad seats in this small, beautiful and historic theatre. We love going to shows here. The prices are right and we are not far from home. Better than going all the way into Boston with the traffic and prices so high. We are fortunate to have this lovely place to frequent with wonderful shows. We are even seeing Howie Mandel this fall there. He was postponed several times due to the Pandemic. He is a germ a phobic though. I bet he will wear a mask on stage. Ha!

After the show we went to our favorite Italian restaurant – Piccola Italia only a five-six minute walk from the theatre in downtown Manchester.

Here are our delicious choices for dinner.

Antipasto
Me and my Seafood Piccola Italia (shrimp, scallops, lobster, mussels, clams & calamari) Delicious! I took half of it home for lunch another day.

You will not be disappointed if you dine here. John, the owner and chef, always comes out to greet us and chat a little. We have had wonderful waitresses, Linda and Amelia and others I can’t remember their names over the many years we have been dining there. Most of the time we have Linda who treats us like family. This time Linda was not working so we had Amelia again. She is quite a character!

All in all it was another wonderful anniversary. Now on June 19th it is celebrated by the whole country as Freedom Day and called Juneteenth! How do you like that? May everyone feel free and safe in their own country.

Thank you so much for stopping by to read this post. I appreciate your kind support of me, my books and blog and for all the reviews you have posted wherever my books are sold. Please come back again real soon. Take care!
