Happy Easter and Passover!

This year – 2021 – is still somewhat cloistered for many of us. My family will not be gathering yet for large dinners such as Easter. We are still in the process of receiving our herd immunity. My husband and I have had both vaccines at this point. Now we wait until the rest of the family can catch up to us.

Here is a poem I wrote in 2013 about spring that I wanted to share today. We are in the early stages of spring here in New England.

Spring

What does spring mean to me?
It is an awakening of nature to be all that it can  be.

The ground lays dormant all through the winter weather so cold
while down under the ground grows the roots of new grass, we are told.

At the first sign of warm weather the crocuses will pop through opening their faces to the bright sun and sky so blue.
The trees will soon send out their lifeblood from their roots
and before our very eyes can detect new buds will then shoot.
Soon the birds and bees have arrived
to explore after a cold winter that they somehow survived.

There is a flutter of activity from every hole in the ground
as the chipmunks and groundhogs and other rodents stick their heads out for a look around.

It makes me feel alive once again and know that it is time, my friends
for cleaning and carting away
all the things that clutter the house and the yard this fine spring day.

Just as nature prepares ahead for the mild weather days,
we should get ready to give thanks for yet another lovely spring
God has sent our way.

May your Easter be filled with love and joy.

May you have family and friends closer than before.

May you enjoy the warmer weather, the birds who are now here, the sky so blue and clear, greening up of the trees and grass all around as the spring warmth heats up the ground.

Stay safe and well and may God bless you and yours.

Have a wonderful Easter, my friends!

Please excuse my shameful promotions. I had to share these beautiful promos from AllAuthor.com. They do a wonderful job of creating colorful promos for all occasions. I hope you love them as much as I do. Happy Reading!

Please consider giving books to all the children on your list for all occasions. There is nothing better than to see a child’s eyes light up when you give him/her a book – even more so when you read the book to them. You are giving them so much more than you could ever imagine, e.g., you spark their imagination, heighten their creativity, lift their spirits, increase their vocabulary, open up a whole new world to them, enhance their health and welbeing and encourage them to love reading. The gift of a book is worth more than gold to our children, grandchildren. Keep reading and gifting books to children. Let’s bring up a generation of readers and thinkers. Thank you for your support!
