I wrote Broose after I went to the Moose Hill School in Londonderry, NH to pick up my middle grandson during the summer programs several years ago. When I saw their beautiful glassed display of moose I decided to write a book about a moose in hopes it would join the other artifacts in this display case. My grandson was excited about that and gave me his approval. After all, what better animal to choose than a moose when I live in moose country of New Hampshire!
Once I had published Broose I called the school and brought with me a box of books to share with them. They were thrilled and had the local newspaper come over to snap some photos below. I was thrilled to have Broose join the lovely display. It was a great honor! Thank you, Moose Hill School. I dedicated this book to Moose Hill School and their students.
Of course, it was exciting to share Broose with the school teachers and their students. I hope they are still enjoying Broose today.
