You will be surprised at what children will say about books they have read. They are more intelligent thinkers than you would imagine even when they are quite young. It’s fun to read books together to watch the expressions on children’s faces. They feel for the characters and become actively engaged in the story. Have fun reading to your children daily. Happy reading!

I wrote and dedicated this book to a young boy I met in Aruba while on vacation six years ago. He is now a preteen. When I asked him what his favorite animal was, he told me – a polar bear. I promised to write a story about a polar bear just for him. He travels there every year with his family as do I. The following year I went to Aruba I brought the book with me and presented it to him. He was pleased that I kept my promise to him. Here is a photo of him at that time with his book.

Jemsbooks Children’s books are available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

Please consider giving books to all the children on your list for all occasions. There is nothing better than to see a child’s eyes light up when you give him/her a book. Even more so when you read the book to them. You are giving them so much more than you could ever imagine, e.g., you spark their imagination, lift their spirits, increase their vocabulary, open up a whole new world to them, and encourage them to love reading. The gift of a book is worth more than gold to our children, grandchildren. Keep reading and gifting books to children. Let’s bring up a generation of readers and thinkers. Thank you for your support!
