Mom’s Choice Awards Silver Medal Winner – JESSE THE PRECOCIOUS POLAR BEAR!

I am thrilled and honored that my children’s picture book – JESSE THE PRECOCIOUS POLAR BEAR was awarded a Silver Medal from Mom’s Choice Awards! Thank you, @Momschoiceawards for this prestigious award! I am deeply appreciative!

Silver Medal – Mom’s Choice Awards

It is always a wonderful feeling when one of my books get chosen for an award! Jesse is quite happy too. In fact, he nearly fell off the ice shelf again because he was jumping around celebrating and slipped. That didn’t make his mother too happy! Ha! I am doing my own happy dance like Jesse! I can’t jump as high as I used to though! Sigh!

Congratulations to all the MCA AWARD WINNERS below!

AMAZON REVIEWS:

Reviews5.0 out of 5 stars Another Winner! Reviewed in the United States on April 24, 2014Janice and John Spina, a creative husband and wife team, have done it again. Mr. Spina’s wonderful illustrations add loveliness to the delightful story told in rhymes by Mrs. Spina. As in the author’s previous books for children, the ursine protagonist in “Jesse the Precocious Polar Bear” is conferred with human attributes that resonate with children, such as curiosity, a need to socialize, and protectiveness of a good friend. Jessy, who is want of friends, finds one in a baby seal. When the little seal’s safety is threatened, Jesse protects him and shields him from harm. The precocious and kind little polar bear is rewarded in time, as he himself is eventually saved from dangerous waters by the same baby seal.

“Jesse the Precocious Polar Bear” is the fifth in the Spina team’s series of charming kid books that entertain while they instill good values and impart important life lessons. Highly recommended!

Michelle Clements James5.0 out of 5 stars Lesson on friendship Reviewed in the United States on June 18, 2015Verified PurchaseJesse wants a friend. Jesse doesn’t do what little polar bears are supposed to do. While not minding his mother, Jesse gets into trouble and is saved by an unlikely friend. This adorable story emphasizes not only the need to follow instructions, but also how to be a loyal friend. This darling storybook is beautifully illustrated by the author’s husband. It is sure to keep any young child entertained while teaching valuable lessons.

Please consider giving books to all the children on your list for all occasions. There is nothing better than to see a child’s eyes light up when you give him/her a book – even more so when you read the book to them. You are giving them so much more than you could ever imagine, e.g., you spark their imagination, heighten their creativity, lift their spirits, increase their vocabulary, open up a whole new world to them, enhance their health and wellbeing and encourage them to love reading. The gift of a book is worth more than gold to our children, grandchildren. Keep reading and gifting books to children. Let’s bring up a generation of readers and thinkers. Thank you for your support!
