Check out Theodocia McLean – Book Marketing Global Network where all my books are now listed!
I have been using Theodocia McLean for about five years. She is thorough, prompt, hard-working, efficient, tireless, and pleasant to work with. Thank you, Theodocia, for these great promos of my books on your sites. Visit my page here.
Theodocia’s network is growing by leaps and bounds and now has thousands who are part of it and following her work. Jump on the Book Marketing Global Network for an inexpensive and expertly operated venue for promoting your books.
We authors all need ways to promote our books that show results. In this post I am featuring Theodocia. Once I found her I have stayed and have been happy with the results.
I also use another venue and do a ton of work myself promoting on FB, TW, LI, Instagram and Pinterest and occasionally on Flipboard.
Promoting books is a lot of work for one person. I am an indie author who does it all myself. Of course, I have my husband who is my illustrator and cover creator and lends a hand to give me new cover promos to feature on my website and blog. Thank God for him! I wouldn’t know what to do without him.
Do you want to know which social media to use that are most effective in getting your books out there? I had to learn by trial and error. I will share with you what I found, in my opinion.
The best social media to use to post your information on books or anything is INSTAGRAM! I used a venue recently to promote my books and noticed that the most clicks on my books came from Instagram! I was shocked. I have recently started using it more. Now I use it at least twice a week to post my books. I think that people like to look at pictures, photos, colorful posts which is what Instagram is all about.
The second best social media to use is TWITTER! It’s quick and easy and everyone is there!
The third best social media to use is FACEBOOK! Although a lot of fellow authors have opted out of it I still have three pages that get a lot of traffic.
The rest of the social media outlets such as Tumblr, Flipboard, Pinterest and LinkedIn I do not find as helpful to me as an author who wants to get herself out there. There are many more new links on social media to use but I try not to get into too many. I find the three that I use most of the time are effective to keep me relevant. Besides, I don’t want to spread myself too thin trying to update each media site. It’s time-consuming. I would rather spend time writing in my WIP, blogging, answering emails or reading.
What social media and promotional outlets do you use? Please share what works for you.
These promos below were created by my husband, John.
My goal in writing for children is to encourage them to read daily to enhance their life through good health and increase their creativity. Please read to your children daily even after they can read by themselves. This is a wonderful time to bond, cuddle, and get closer to your children. They will love and remember fondly the times you spent with them. Please keep reading and I will keep writing! Happy Reading Everyone!
