Clarence Henry the Hermit Crab – published in February 2018

This book was written in memory of a real hermit crab that inhabited our 80-gallon saltwater fish tank at that time. He is no longer with us. Clarence Henry was an entertaining fellow. He did come to us with one less leg and one less claw. These appendages could possibly have resulted from a fight with another crab at the pet store. I wrote this story around the fact that he could still do his job of keeping the tank clean in spite of fewer appendages.

All Jemsbooks carry life lessons for children. I hope this will teach them that you can do anything that you put your mind to and succeed in life. Clarence Henry teaches children to work hard and do the best you can do and be happy with who you are.

We shared these photos and facts about hermit crabs in the back of the book. I hope you will enjoy them. This book will make a wonderful resource for classrooms.
