New Reviews of Drystan the Dragon and Friends Books 1 & 2!

This magical series is for kids PS-Grade 3! There are six books in the series with a different dragon introduced in each book plus Drystan – the star of the series. There are seven dragons in all – four are male and three are female.

It is a fun, educational series for children to learn letters, colors and good behavior, friendship, respect and kindness toward others. Check it out today! Your children will love the rhyming and descriptions of each dragon. There is a poem that introduces a new dragon to each book. All dragons’ names begin with the letter ‘D’ and their colors will be in brilliant shades of blue, green, red, purple, pink, orange and brown. A fun series for kids to enjoy and learn at the same time. This series will keep them occupied and happy all year round. Children will love reading these books and they may become their favorite books at bedtime and any time. The illustrations and covers were created by my husband, John.

It’s always a joy to receive reviews of my books. That is why I write to see people reading and enjoying my work. Thank you, Olga, for these lovely reviews.

Here are a couple of new reviews of this fun dragon series: Book 1

5.0 out of 5 stars The Land of RainbowsReviewed in the United States on June 15, 2020Two dragon friends, Drystan (a red dragon) and his friend Durward (a blue dragon), and one big adventure in the beautiful Land of Rainbows! These two colorful characters will capture a child’s imagination and teach them something really neat: the true meaning of friendship. I hope that the imaginative illustrations and the fun storyline will awaken the desire of kids to help others.

Through the strong narratives, the Spinas convey a great message of kindness, caring, and loving the person next to you. It is a great reminder to the world—improve your act every chance you get, because it always pays to be kind and sensitive instead of mean and cruel.

Another wonderful book by the talented team of Janice and John Spina, which teaches the lesson of humanity and understanding. It’s one that young children must learn at a very early age.

Book 2:

5.0 out of 5 stars The Message of FriendshipReviewed in the United States on June 15, 2020The Message of Friendship
What do compassion and kindness mean? I hope young readers can find the answer in a new series, “Drystan the Dragon and Friends.”

In this second book by the Spinas, “Damara Helps Drystan Find His Roar,” children are in for a nice surprise. They will meet Damara, a cool green dragon, who likes to help others. She teaches Drystan, who lost his roar how to get it back. She embraces his condition and sees her new friend for what he is.

It is a wonderful message to children, cleverly embedded into the story and lovingly illustrated to help young readers remember that we are all different, but equally important to the world.

The authors have created a sweet, simple little tale, which is easy to understand as well as explain to a young child: accept people for what they are. I love this story because it opens up a very needed discussion about acceptance and friendship. I am sure children will remember the valuable lesson this book conveys. Another great teaching story!

WATCH FOR BOOK 3 COMING IN JULY 2020! This book will have important life lessons as do all Jemsbooks children’s books.

My goal in writing for children is to encourage them to read daily to enhance their life through good health and increase their creativity. Please read to your children daily even after they can read by themselves. This is a wonderful time to bond, cuddle, and get closer to your children. They will love and remember fondly the times you spent with them. Please keep reading and I will keep writing! Happy Reading Everyone!

Please leave a review for books you love wherever you purchased them. We authors will love you back and appreciate your efforts to share our work. Word of mouth is the best way to spread word about a book.

Blessings & Hugs! Stay Safe, Stay Well and God Bless!
