Is There Life After COVID-19?

Of course there will be life after COVID-19! But what kind of life? We definitely know that life will be different. We will be more careful out in crowds, washing our hands diligently and keep a closer watch over our families.

Wash your hands!

What we have experienced and taken from being home bound is that we all have had more time to spend with our immediate families, relaxed more, taken on projects that we never had time to do before, spent more time with our children teaching them their daily lessons, played more board games with each other, did puzzles that were always too hard to do in short spurts of time, taken on challenges and helped others in need, got creative in our cooking and preparing meals, and prayed more.

Marinated Mushrooms

Here is what my husband and I have been making. I also have made some delicious marinated mushrooms that are quick and easy to prepare.

Here are some of the meals we have prepared recently. At least we are not running out of food, thank God. I bet your mouth is watering now! Feel free to sample anything you like.

The most important thing to remember is that we are all in this together. For once in our lifetime we have experienced something that hopefully our children, grandchildren and all generations that follow will never have to endure again in their lifetimes. This Pandemic has made us stronger, more resilient and able to go forward and face whatever is ahead of us. We will be ready for anything after this!

Who would have thought that we would be in our homes two months and maybe more unable to go out to movies, get haircuts, shop wherever and whenever we choose, visit parks, beaches, go to plays, out to breakfast, lunch or dinner on a whim? Life has changed so drastically all over the world.

I Need A Haircut! Yikes!

It’s true that some states, countries are beginning to open up different venues and businesses. But how safe is this? If you listen to our government officials and Pandemic specialists it may be too soon. Once we are able to get out of our homes and try to get back to normal we will be into crowds everywhere we go. I visualize people running rampart through the streets and yelling, “We are free, we are finally free!”

Will we still have to wear masks when we are free? Will we feel safe taking our children, especially the elderly out in public again? This will have to be determined state by state and country by country soon.

We must stay positive and tell our children and grandchildren to be strong and that everything will be better, the world will go back to normal eventually.

Keep smiling! There will be a rainbow at the end of the showers. Good times are ahead! (I snapped a photo of a neighbor’s driveway sign)

Please be safe and stay well! Be careful out there! God Bless! Keep reading and staying positive. Escape when you need to get away through a book! It really works! I will be sharing my monthly reads soon at the end of April. I have read 7 books so far! Check out all my monthly reads that I have on my blog since January of 2020.

  1. Things will be different and some industries and businesses may disappear and new ones will replace them. I hope you will be cautious and take care, Janice. I don’t think this is over yet.

Don’t think I will feel as safe as I did before this virus. At least I have beta reading of your books & editing of another favorite author to spend my time on.

I don’t think we will ever return to “as before” but will have a new normal. We’ve learned a lot from this experience and going forward I think it will always be in the back of our minds to haunt us. Stay well.
