Third Week in Aruba!

This is the final week in sunny Aruba! This week we did have a little rain but it came and went within an hour and the sun came out again.

It has been a wonderful trip with friends we see each year. We spend time catching up with each other and soaking in the sun, water and delicious food. Need to go on a diet when I get home. Luckily we put in over 10k steps each day and sometimes even 16k steps. We sleep well after those busy days.

This is last night at the famous Gianni’s Italian Restaurant. Everyone must try this restaurant when they are down here. They have a wall above of cheese balls in which they make Pasta Fromaggio – pasta and cheese (expensive version of mac and cheese). They put on a show doing it. Sorry I didn’t take a photo of my Linguine Fruitta de Mare! It was delicious with clams, shrimp and calamari! But John snapped a photo of me enjoying my favorite – red sangri! Love it more than just wine now!

Most nights we were too full to have gelato but did manage to have it a couple of times. There is always next year!!

Check out the enormous Caribbean lobsters in the tank! I have tried them but prefer Maine lobsters – so much better!

Here are some night views of lovely Aruba!

A fun night on Wednesday with good friend at Bavaria Restaurant!

Interesting place but not my favorite food – German – but we had a fabulous time with the waiter laughing and joking and snapping photos of the fascinating stuff that was displayed there. Wonderful evening with friends!

The food above was a hug ham hock, chicken schnitzel Hawaiian (my dinner) and pork schnitzel with onions. I snapped all the food of my friends too to share. This was one time when I did not forget to do that. Sigh!

I promise to share many more photos after I get home from my husband’s camera. He took tons of photos!

Thank you so much for stopping by to read about my memorable trip. Feeling wonderful and relaxed and ready to get back home and work on some more books!

  2. Excellent photos, Janice. You had a wonderful three weeks in Aruba. German food is not my favorite wither. I like fresh vegetables, and prefer fresh fish or meat. 🙂

Janice, it always looks like you have a fabulous time when you travel. And I do know what you mean about spending the days outdoors and all that fresh ocean air, it whacks me out by 10pm LOL. And I’m with you on Maine lobsters! ❤ xxx
