BLURB:

This is Book 1 of a series of Abby & Holly books. These two girls were first introduced in Book 5 of the Davey & Derek Junior Detectives Series.
The girls are first cousins on their mothers’ side. They moved to the quiet town of Lindon, New Hampshire and live in a grand old Victorian which is haunted.
The cousins are excited about attending the sixth grade dance. When their friend, Justine, is bullied, Abby and Holly, along with the help of a ghost and Davey & Derek, work together to formalize a plan to put a stop to the bullying.

Jemsbooks carry  life lessons and encourage children of all ages to behave and respect one another.

This book touches on a sensitive subject, bullying, that we should be aware of and do all we can to put a stop to it. I believe children should be taught at an early age to treat others with kindness and caring, to treat others as one would want to be treated, and love one another for the uniqueness of each individual. We are all created equal under God.

I handle this subject with care and love in order for middle-grade children to understand the importance of forgiving and saying you’re sorry before things get out of control. I don’t have all the answers about how to stop bullying, but we need to band together to come up with a way to prevent any of our children from coming to harm.

My prayers to all who have been bullied in their lives. I know what it’s like – I, too, was bullied as a child.

Check out the reviews on Amazon and pick up your copy for the middle-grade children in your life and let them read about how Abby & Holly helped their friend.

Thrilled to see the girlfriends of Davey & Derek having their own adventures, too!! Abby & Holly were introduced in Book 5 of Davey & Derek Junior Detectives “The Case of the Sad Mischievous Ghost.” Abby & Holly are 1st cousins. Their moms are sisters!
Abby’s house is haunted & the resident ghost & Davey & Derek help the girls help Justine with her being bullied. It was pretty fun seeing the Ghost back again.
Love how Janice seems to pick up where she left off with book 5 of the boys’ story. It was fun “watching” the kids get ready for their 6th grade dance, also! Such innocence..
It was a joy to read!!

5 stars Good Storyline!
Format: Paperback

Janice Spina has another entertaining story for a middle grade audience. Cousins Abby and Holly are out to solve a mystery while trying to be normal school girls. The story is fun and adventurous while touching on the very important subject of bullying. The author incorporates her familiar characters, Davey and Derek, Junior Detectives, from her on-going series. It’s a great read for both boys and girls.

Watch for Book 2 of Abby & Holly Series coming later this year, fingers crossed!

Thank you for stopping by to read about this new book for MG/PT/YA. Even though I wrote this book with girls in mind, boys will enjoy it too because Davey & Derek are up to their usual antics and add humor and fun to this book as well as their own series.
