There are many ways to promote your work as an author. I consider myself an author who is still on the job training. Each time I publish a book I have to learn some new ways to promote it. In the process of promoting I learn something new each time. At present I have published 17 books – so that amounts to a whole lot of learning!
I have been fortunate enough to have met some wonderful people online who are fellow authors with more training and experience than I. Under their kind tutelage I have learned about publishing, writing and promotion. I must mention these lovely people so that new authors or aspiring authors will have a better chance at a smooth transition from writer to author.
Here a few of my wonderful and inspiring fellow authors who go out of their way to help others. I thank them profoundly with much love and hugs! Check their websites out and see what I mean.
Sally Cronin – Supports authors by showcasing their books on her blog and has important information about publishing, writing, etc.
Hugh Roberts – Has an informative blog where he supplies helpful information for bloggers/writers/authors.
Chris Graham – His blog is a treasure trove of information for authors. He also creates videos, book covers and book trailers. Chris has created two fantastic book trailers for my two novels.
These are but a few of the lovely people online who are willing to aid others in their quests to survive as authors in this busy, demanding, and highly competitive business. There are many more authors, bloggers, and others who will be happy to help you promote your books. You need to look out there to find them.
Here are more fabulous online friends (authors and bloggers) who have been supportive of me. I am grateful to them for their friendship and for all their help to get my books out there! Please check out their blogs for some interesting posts.
Annette Aben Rochelle – Annette has a blog talk radio (Podcast) show which I was thrilled to be on. It’s fabulous! Check it out!
There are so many wonderful people online that have helped me along the way on my road to being an indie author. Thank you all! Please know that I appreciate all of you even if you were not mentioned here.
Here are some Book Award contests that are supportive after you win.

Being an indie author can be a daunting job where an author must wear many hats to survive. If you believe in yourself you can accomplish great things. There is nothing that can stop you.
There are many sites that offer you ways to promote your books. Here are some of the ones that I use.
Here are the social media links I use to circulate my book information that I find most effective.
I hope this information has been helpful to you. Please don’t get discouraged about promoting your work. It’s true it is not an easy task. But if you believe in yourself, you can complete whatever you undertake.

Thank you for all this wonderful information, so helpful to a newbie. Since I changed my career from fine art to writing 2 years ago I am totally blown away by how many wonderful people there are in the writing community. More supportive than the art community overall. Have connected with Sally Cronin what an inspiration.
