DC Rush has created three beautifully illustrated and cleverly written stories for children in their books – Robbie’s Quest for Seed, Robbie’s Quest: Ocean Bound, and Robbie’s Quest: Return of the Cat. DC Rush stands for Don and Cathy Rush, husband and wife, who are the creators of these books. They are lovers of birds and feed and observe the birds outside their home. Through watching the birds they came up with the idea for these stories.
Your children will love these books which will take them through the travels of birds as they try to find their way across the country to obtain food and a safe place to roost and bath in a warm time zone.
The characters are endearing and you will find yourself rooting for them to succeed on their journeys. The main character, Robbie, a robin, is the leader and guides his family and fellow birds on their adventures. During these adventures they come across other animals such a determined and rambunctious cat, Hershey, who tries to capture some of the birds who dare to venture into his yard. They also make some friends along the way, Sammy, the Dalmatian, who gives the birds some helpful information and Wanda, the whale, who tries to help some of the birds when they get lost.
I enjoyed reading these books because of the way they were simply presented and relayed easily for children to read and understand. The stories will give children a sense of how difficult it is to be a bird. DC Rush shows through their sweet stories how important it is to respect all creatures on this earth and that we should share what we have and help one another.
This is surely a worthwhile read and I give these books 5 stars.

Thank you Deanie. You are my number one cheerleader. I appreciate you and your support and friendship more than I can say. You are great for my ego!
Best Wishes Always!

Glad I’m keeping your ego boosted, Janice. Instead of self esteem, the boys used to say ‘steems’ so I’m keeping your steems nice and high so you don’t have to worry about boiling water to get more!
Thank you so much Deanie! I appreciate your support so much!
