Pumpkin eater strikes again!

Posted on October 22, 2026 by jjspina

Pumpkin eater has struck again! Check out this pumpkin at the bottom of the stairs in the front of my house. I have photos below of before after the pumpkin eater struck. We haven’t seen the culprit, but it could be a raccoon, groundhog or a squirrel. I think they were going for the seeds.

I like pumpkin seeds too! Notice all the skins of the seeds on the ground. I hope they enjoyed themselves. My husband always wanted to get the largest pumpkin he can carry home for the critters to enjoy. Most people put their pumpkins on their deck away from the animals. The pumpkins will eventually rot anyway why not let the animals enjoy it while it is still fresh!

Here are many pumpkins that are at Mac’s Apples. There are too many to count. The critters will have a smorgasbord on these!
