Fall is officially here!

This is the time to snuggle under an afghan and grab a cup of coffee, tea or cocoa and a good book! I have plenty of afghans and good books to cozy up and read. Do you?

I don’t know what it is about fall but it instills in me a need to grab one of my afghans and find a comfortable chair to curl up. I always have my iPad and iPhone with me where I have plenty of books to read. I used to have the physical books but now I have so many books that I don’t have room to store them anymore. How about you?

Having a Kindle or Nook is a good way to store tons of books without needing the room to keep them. I take my Kindle with me when I travel. It’s light and easy to read in different lights or at night without light. Whoever created them, thank you!

I do still agree that there is nothing like the physical book in your hand, the feel of the pages, the smell, yes, books have a smell (a good on), and the weight in your hands. The feeling of accomplishment when you turn the pages and reach the end. Ahh! I try to imagine that feel as I finish a book on my Kindle. I have a written list on which I cross off each book that I read. That is where I get the ahh feeling! Haha!

Did you know that reading is good for you? Reading is not only important for children but it’s also very important for adults. It not only increases your word vocabulary and stimulates your mind, but also gives you a feeling of wellbeing and promotes good health, dispels feelings of loneliness, improves your memory, promotes better patterns of sleep, and don’t forget – it brings families closer when they share and read books together.
