A huge snowstorm hit most of the country from Texas up to Maine. New Hampshire got at least two feet of snow and it will keep snowing until later Monday and maybe into Tuesday.
I didn’t mind it while I was watching the Patriots win (YAY) but when I woke up today it covered our back deck and our generator which was just a mound of snow. Sigh! John stated simply, ‘the generator has to be shoveled around the vents so it will work if we lose power. I looked around – there was no one else but me in the room. You know what that meant!? I had to go out in this freezing weather while it was still snowing and get to the generator somehow! Yikes! I am getting to old for this!!
My husband recently had some surgery and couldn’t go out in this cold weather 10 – 25 degrees F which felt like 7 degrees F. I had no choice but to go out in this miserable weather. I couldn’t sit back and enjoy it from the comforts of my home while I work on my book, sip tea and sigh as I created more scenarios for my readers.
Well, I bundled up with a hat and snuggle (I made), thick gloves, heavy coat with hood, warm socks, boots (all llBean) and fingers crossed that didn’t fall down and couldn’t get up!! 😱
My husband snapped all these photos as I trekked across the two feet of snow to get to the generator. It wasn’t an easy task and I said a few prayers that I didn’t fall over or get stuck in the snow!!⛄️

Here I am! I made it through the drifts of snow without dying! Haha! I was so happy to get back into the house and jump into a warm shower! Ahh!
The snow was well over my knees making it difficult to lift my legs and traverse forward! Sigh! But as you can see I accomplished this task but don’t look forward to doing it again. I think I will pay someone to do it next time! I will have to tie my husband down to keep him from doing it! He isn’t getting any younger either. He keeps reminding me that he is capable of doing it though no matter how old he is! Haha!
Well, now I am cozy and warm inside our house and writing this post to share my latest accomplishment! Haha!🤣
Wherever you live, I hope that you will be safe and warm. Stay inside and do not go out unless absolutely necessary. If you do, make sure you have a blanket, shovel and warm clothes in case you get stuck in your car somewhere. Take care everyone who is in the line of this horrific storm. It isn’t over yet! My prayers are with you all.

You look so cute all bundled up. Good for you for doing this task. Keep warm and safe. xo
Thank you, Darlene! I’m trying to stay warm. It is still snowing and the snow is piling up! 😳❄️❄️☃️🌨️
Great pictures. you look great, cute with bundled up like that. you should be proud of yourself for making it. and we had 38’C yesterday. all day the air con was running. all the best with your weather.
Thank you so much, Gigi! Stay cool and I’ll stay warm. 🥰
You look cute all bundled up – and shoveling is really tough exercise. We used to have a quarter mile driveway – I would shovel the upper half in the morning, go and and warm up with food and hot chocolate and then do the bottom half. The next day I was one huge ache. Take care of yourself!
