New crochet projects completed and ongoing!

I have been busy with my second favorite hobby – crocheting! I can’t get enough of it and have been busy making two sweaters and now some amigirumis.

Here are my two sweaters that I made recently. One was too big because I goofed and used the wrong needle but my daughter-in-law happily took it. The second came out smaller with the correct needle and fit me. Thank goodness. I didn’t want to do it again! Sigh! I never said I was a perfect crocheter. I do my best. The pattern is from Brianna K online. She has some great patterns that are quite creative. This sweater is done all in one piece and then sticked up all around the sides. It was challenging but I finally got the nang of it after the first one. I may make another one or NOT! HAHA!

My latest project is creating amigirumis which can be tedious since they are small and putting them together is a chore at times but fun when you see the finished products and the delight of the children that I give them to – my family.

Here is my latest amigirumi – STITCH – which is in the theaters soon. Kids love him. I do too. I may make one for myself after finishing five for the great nieces and nephews. They don’t know about these yet – so don’t say anything. Haha! I am only making them for the five youngest kids. If the family keep having more children, I will keep busy doing all this crocheting. I even have a baby sweater and two afghans ready for whenever they arrive.

STITCH is still in the development stage and not finished yet!

I will share when I have all five completed. Each time you create one I find that they are a little bit different. Variety is the spice of life, isn’t it? He is cute though! I like him so much that I will probably make one for myself if I have any yarn left or any ambition to continue to torture myself. Sigh!

Thank you so much for stopping by to read this post and for your continued support. I hope you will come back again. There is always something brewing at JemsBooks!

Stich is wonderful, how you have done him. Impressive, love it. and the sweater? wow, is just beautiful. How do you find the time between reading so many books a month, writing books yourself and these now. And housework as well, with cooking and so. Impressive.

Thank you so much, Gigi! It keeps me sane and relaxed so that I can do everything else. I like to keep busy and never sit and do nothing. I guess I’m a little crazy that way. 🤪

Well, i think i was like you, once, not anymore. i have really slowed down. i did a lot with my hands, like paintings, pencil and oil and cross stitching’s. and making soft toys as well. then the writing of my books. that kept me going for years. but now, after my fall last year, and my husband is retired now as well, i have really slowed down. now i love doing jigsaw puzzles. I always said there is a time for that, and a time for that. now is the time for puzzles.

I agree. I am slowly doing less than I used to, believe it or not! Haha! I will keep busy and doing whatever I can for as long as I can. I do love jigsaw puzzles too. Just finished one recently. It is relaxing and lets me think and clear out my thoughts which are cluttered at times.
God bless you, Gigi. You have had many trials. Enjoy life and relax. I plan to do that too soon.
        Hugs
