A Favorite Meal to enjoy!

When the warm weather arrives, I always want to enjoy my favorite meal – Lobster, steamers and corn on the cob! What is your favorite meal?

We recently had this meal and will have it again on my birthday. My husband arranged the platter for my photo. It was absolutely delicious! The lobsters were hard shell and 1 1/2 lbs each. Delectable! Just looking at this meal I want to have it again! Yum!

We purchased the lobsters at a local Market Basket for a great price. We recently went to Perkin’s Cove Maine and had a lobster dinner with clams but no corn and it was not at all like this. It was, in fact, a disappointment. The lobster was supposed to be 1 1/2 lb but it was not. They also were softer shells with not as much meat in the claws.

It was a lovely visit to Maine, don’t get me wrong, but the lobsters were a disappointment. Sigh! I guess that proves that you don’t have to go too far to get a perfect lobster. But do visit Maine to enjoy the beautiful scenery, ocean views, and the lovely restaurants and shops.

I find it is much better to eat lobster at home since I take a long time to eat it and can make quite a mess in the process. I savor every mouthful but it is not a pretty sight.

The first time I had a lobster was when I was a young child. We used to visit my uncle and aunt in Maine and one day they had lobsters for dinner. I had no idea whether I would like them or not but fell in love with lobster back then. Each time we visited I looked forward to having another lobster. I have been hooked since then. I only have a lobster a few times a year but enjoy it every time.

I love anything from the ocean. I guess it might have something to do with my family upbringing. We often had fish after my father and grandfather went fishing and came home with fresh catch. There is nothing like fresh fish!

I’d love to hear what your favorite food is.

What a scrumptious meal! I love it – I’d have it here but the lobster has to be flown in and the price is sky high. The ones you might find in a market are on their last legs!

  2. The same….but only in the USA and particuarly in New England:). YUM
