Looking for a historical/romance for Christmas or any occasion?

This time of year is so hectic and I know sometimes we all need help in making choices for gifts for those special people on our lists. Have you ever considered a special book for those people?

This is a historical/romance that is unforgettable and based and dedicated to my grandmother who lived to be 100 years and five months. She died and went to Heaven on Mother’s Day several years ago. I thought that was fitting for her since she was the matriarch of our family. Maybe you have a grandparent who would love to read this book. It would bring back memories of when they were young especially if they emigrated here from another country,

Lubelia Alycea leaves her native country of Madeira, Portugal to travel to her new home – America.

This is the story of how a strong, resilient young girl grows into a formidable woman. She must survive many tragedies in her lifetime, separation from family, sickness, death, betrayal, and a lost love. Will she find happiness and a new love in her life?

Will she be strong enough to face the storms ahead and still keep her family together? Will the secrets in her life destroy her and all that she holds dear?

Here is the book trailer I created using Animoto.com:

I traveled to my grandmother’s home of her childhood and birth and was blown away by the beauty of Madeira Island – so lush and green. The people were warm and friendly and the food was delicious! It was like returning home for me with all the flavors that I remembered from my grandmother’s cooking.

The cover created by my husband John was of a photo of Madeira on one of our excursions around the beautiful island. It was an enjoyable and memorable trip and forever in my heart.

Here are some reviews from readers on Amazon:

Thank you so much for stopping by to read this post and for your continued support. I hope you will check out this story dedicated to the memory of my grandmother and loosely based on her life. I would love to hear what you think about this cantankerous woman. She will be remembered fondly even though she was a woman who took no guff from anyone but gave me many laughs and joy over the years that I was blessed to be with her.

Blessings & Hugs! Stay Safe, Stay Well and God Bless!
