What Makes You Happy?

In our troubled world today we must find ways to stay positive and happy. It isn’t easy, I know. When I watch the news of all the wars and dissension amongst peoples it is extremely disheartening. I begin to worry about everyone and everything, the lives lost, the wars still being fought and those who are being held captive by dangerous factions. I wish I could solve the problems of the world, but alas, I cannot. None of us can do this. Sigh!

Below is my happy place – Aruba – but unfortunately this year we could not go because of my health issues. I pray that we will go back next year. We looked happy and healthy, didn’t we? Sigh!

What I can do is try to stay happy and positive even though there is so much unrest in our world. I look at each day as a gift when I awaken, count my blessings and give thanks to God that I am still here.

Here are my Angels below. Writing these books lifted my spirits as if someone else was writing along with me. I will be getting into book 4 of Branyrd the Angel Series as soon as I complete Gateskin Chronicles Book 3 or sooner if I run out of ideas and need a break to get back to writing about Angels again. Ha!

In two of the books below – An Angel Among Us and Branyrd the Angel Book 3 I dedicated the books to someone in my life that had died and was loved and dearly missed. I hope that I will not lose anyone else when I begin book 4.

What makes you happy? These are some of the things and people that make me happy.

  1. The love of God
  2. The love and support of my husband
  3. Knowing that my family is well and loves me
  4. Having good friends, close and online
  5. Having the love and support of God
  6. Being able to walk, see, hear, think
  7. Being able to work through my health issues with God’s help
  8. Being able to write each day
  9. Seeing my house plants grow and blossom – they lift my spirits
  10. Being able to blog daily when I have time
  11. Having a home that is safe, warm and comforting
  12. Having the love and support of God (Can’t say that enough!)
  13. Enjoying every day that I have left and filling it with as many things that make me happy as I possibly can while keep those around me happy too
  14. Reading books by my friend, Richard V. Battle, who is an inspiring, uplifting, spiritual and talented author/speaker. (His recent book, The Unopened Present, is on my Books Read and Reviewed in November.) Thank you, Richard, for lifting me up when I needed it!

I think I could go on and on for a long time. I might add that I pray every day for all those who have lost loved ones and for those who are being held captive that they will be returned safe and sound.

Thanksgiving is nearly upon us with Christmas close behind. It is a time to be thankful for all our blessings and to bask in the love and friendship of family and friends, to appreciate them, enjoy their company and be grateful that we have loved ones to support us in good times and bad.

My granddaughter made this turkey for me many years ago and I keep it to remember to be thankful every day. It is sweet, isn’t it? She is precious!

May you have many people and things in your life that perk up your spirits and restore your wellbeing daily. God Bless!

Thank you for stopping by to read this post. Please come back again soon and remember to review books for hard-working authors. We will love you for your efforts.

Blessings & Hugs! Stay Safe, Stay Well and God Bless!

I’m sorry you and your Hubby can’t go to Aruba this year. I hope you are doing okay Janice. Like you, I worry about all that’s happening in the world today. I have to remember that the press reports the terrible things, and we rarely hear about all the good things. Thank goodness for books and reading.
