Our saltwater tank is up and running well with healthy fish so it was time to add a couple more. Here are the newest additions to our tank. They were a little anxious but now are doing well.
The yellow and black one is a Foxface and the other is a Saltwater Tang.
Trigger on the left has been keeping watch and trying to intimidate them to move out of his area which is the right side of the tank. On the left side just beyond Trigger is the anemone and the clown who is hosting it and driving it crazy. He never leaves the anemone alone for a minute. He is happy though! I hope the anemone is as happy.
The Foxface and Tang were in the same tank in the store so they were already buddies. That is why we chose them and also because we knew they would do well with the aggressive Trigger fish.
Well, I will keep you abreast of how they are doing with more photos too. Here are a couple more snaps of them getting used to their new home. They are beginning to explore a little more of their water world.
They are beautiful and add color and activity to the tank. They are a way to keep Trigger on his fins while he is trying to control his area. I gave him a talk about bothering the new inhabitants. He doesn’t want to look me in the eyes because he can see that I am not pleased when he bothers them. We read recently that fish recognize their owners. I definitely know that Trigger knows me well since I am always scolding him like a child. All I have to do is point at him and shake my head and he turns the other way. It is comical to see! I can’t watch him 24/7 though.
