My birthday celebration continued into Sunday when my husband threw me a birthday party cookout! All my kids and grandkids came. What a wonderful time to see them all together again. We haven’t had too many get-togethers this year yet. The weather hasn’t cooperated.
I promised my readers I would share the first zucchini that we picked from our plant. It is the dark green one on the left and next to it are two store-bought ones. What a difference! I made a zucchini casserole with the three and it was a hit. Everyone loved it!
It turned out to be a warm day without rain! Hurray! But the kids stayed inside to eat while the grownups ate outside. Everyone was happy!

I received some lovely gifts for which I am truly thankful and for their generosity to remember their mother/grandmother. They are all so precious to me!
It’s funny how time flies by and in the blink of an eye I am so much older. I remember when my mother was 75. She only lived for close to three more years. I also remember my grandmother’s 75th birthday party. She lived to be 100.5 years. I hope I favor her so I will have more time to continue to complete all that I have started with my writing. There is still much to do and I look forward to do it all, God willing.

It was! I don’t celebrate my birthday normally with any of the family I am usually too busy celebrating everyone else’s birthdays. Now I am slowing down with the parties since the family keeps growing. I send e-cards and gift cards to everyone and call and sing happy birthday to them. They like that! 🤣🥰

Well, my hubby planned it and got my kids to bring something- cake and appetizers. He did the cooking on the grill. I’m blessed! John wants to cook something on the grill if you come. He likes to feed everyone! 🤣🥰
Oh goodness! Gene does not grill – although he used to. Says he can grill in the oven (not the same!)
