My latest WIP is Book 4 in the Bedtime Stories for Children Series. Like all the books in this series this one will also have six stories for ages 5-8 about animals or things. My husband will be illustrating the stories and creating the cover. Watch for it coming late summer or early fall.
This series is the first chapter book I have written for ages 5-8. I think children will enjoy reading these fun stories that will make them feel more grownup since they are in chapter form just like the big kids have. They are short enough to read in one sitting at bedtime or anytime.

At one time in my younger life, I wanted to be a teacher and later on was a teacher’s aide for a few years before moving to a secretarial position in the Methuen School System. I still feel like what I do with my books is my way of teaching children about life and the value of family, friends, being kind to others, helping others in need and accepting differences. It is our responsibility to rear the next generations of readers and thinkers of tomorrow. It is a daunting task but we must be diligent to ensure our children are safe and secure in their lives as they grow up.
Please consider giving books to all the children on your list for all occasions. There is nothing better than to see a child’s eyes light up when you give him/her a book – even more so when you read the book to them. You are giving them so much more than you could ever imagine, e.g., you spark their imagination, heighten their creativity, lift their spirits, increase their vocabulary, open up a whole new world to them, enhance their health and wellbeing and encourage them to love reading. The gift of a book is worth more than gold to our children, grandchildren. Keep reading and gifting books to children. Let’s bring up a generation of readers and thinkers. Thank you for your support!
