Getting into the swing of things once again! A Surprise Gift!

Now that vacation is over, I am trying really hard to get into the swing of things. I called family to check in to say that I was home safe and sound (maybe)! Also, I needed to find out what I missed if anything important while away.

Here are a few more photos of our trip that make me relax a little more. First photo – two relaxing swans in Germany, next Melk Abbey in Germany, locks and more locks in Budapest, Hungary. The locks signify love that is found and cannot be broken. The people there believe that if they put a lock there with the initials on it of their love and throw away the keys that their love will last forever. I don’t know if it works but as you can see many believe it to be true. It was impossible to count how many covered the bridge. The chains have added so much weight to the bridge that it is getting heavier by the day and in danger. They may have to remove them sometime. It was mind boggling to see. I only snapped a small portion of them too.

Now I am sitting at my laptop reading through numerous emails and hopping back and forth between social media. It all gets to be too much to handle. I can’t do it all, I finally decided! I guess it comes with age! I am not getting any younger, that’s for sure! Sigh! All I can do is do my best and work on the most important things such as my latest WIP. I will be doing that after this quick post.

I received a surprise today from my daughter and her family for Mother’s Day. I was away on that day so they waited until I was home to send me this lovely gift. We didn’t capture it on video though, error in forgetting to press the button! Sigh! Here is a photo of it after I opened it. It was such fun to open with all the flowers and butterflies flitting around me and a little cake inside the middle with photos of my family. How lovely!

Wishing that all of you mothers out there had a wonderful day. Sorry I didn’t post something – too busy on my trip. Blessings to you all!

I was feeling overwhelmed with all that I had to do since I returned. This was the perfect gift to perk up my spirits. My daughter is a lovely and thoughtful person. I am blessed to have her and her family in my life!

Now back to the drawing board and finishing up my book. Watch for it coming soon to Amazon and Barnes & Noble. It will be an e-book and paperback.

Thank you so much for stopping by to read this post. Come back again soon for more stuff!

Blessings & Hugs! Stay Safe, Stay Well and God Bless!

I always find it overwhelming when I get back from being away. But, the funny thing is, we get caught up and get back into the swing of things fairly quickly. They did the same thing with the locks in Paris but had to take them down as they got too heavy. Now they are banned. Happy writing!

I bet they will take them down soon in Hungary too. I am still tired and fighting a cold but hope to be back to my old self soon. Thanks for stopping by. hugs xx

  2. Welcome back! How clever that little cake gift.

Yes, it was! I loved it even though the cake wasn’t too good – too sweet for my taste. But I won’t share that with my daughter. ha! hugs xx
