What’s your favorite knick knack or memorabilia?

I know this sounds ancient to some, but we all have some kind of knick knacks, figurines, little memorabilia that we love to keep out so we can look at often. In my home there are elephant figures! Elephants are everywhere you look! My husband began this collection many years ago before we were married. Even since we have been adding more elephants to our home.

White Elephant – our newest addition to our elephant family

I also love elephants ever since I was a little girl and saw my first one in the zoo. I fell in love with the baby elephants and how cute and playful they were. Also, I noticed how attentive and kind the mothers were to their young, always keeping them close and watching over them constantly.

It is not surprising that my first children’s book was about an elephant – Louey the Lazy Elephant. This is still my favorite book, so precious to me since it is the beginning of my becoming an author and finding what I love to do for the rest of my life – write.

Jemsbooks Children’s books are available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

Please check out adorable Louey today by clicking link above. He is also available on Barnes & Noble.

I’m sure your children will love him as much as I do! I would love to hear their thoughts. Drop me a line any time. I share reviews from children here without their names or faces.

There is also another book I wrote about an elephant, Davey & Derek Junior Detectives Series: The Case of the Magical Ivory Elephant. This is my favorite book in the series. Have your children read it yet? Here is the link below to check it out today. Once your children begin this series they will be hooked!

MG/PT/YA books are available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

Here are some more photos of our elephant family.

When I snapped three of these photos above you will notice something else in the pictures. That was a bonus for you today. Hope you enjoy all our elephants. We can’t get enough of them! They make great pets, no feeding or watering required and cleaning up after them. Haha! They just need a little dusting every so often.

Thank you for stopping by to read this post. Feel free to come back soon! You are always welcome!

Blessings & Hugs! Stay Safe, Stay Well and God Bless!

  1. LOVE the elephants. I noticed trunks UP, which always brings a smile. I also noticed the birds outside the window. Awesome. There are Angels ALL over my living space. I have never purchased an Angel for myself (that I recall) they are presented to me. I have also been gifted flamingoes. Life is GOOD with WINGS!! ❤
