How do you stay Positive in a Negative World?

There is so much negativity in the news on TV, newspapers and online. Everywhere you look something horrific is happening. I don’t want to reiterate what we already know about the terrible news we are inundated with in every direction. We are in a circle that is never ending!

My husband loves sports news and that is what we watch most of the time along with the weather for our area. I can handle the news about sports and weather, of players coming and going, of bad weather coming our way. What I can’t handle is the negative daily news on all other channels.

How do you stay positive in a negative world? I’d love to hear your thoughts.

This is what I do or try to do daily.

  1. Do what I love to do – write & read as much as I can and of course review
  2. Crochet my heart out – keeps my hands busy
  3. Sew in between all of the above
  4. Keep in touch with family and friends
  5. Spend time with my husband, watching sports, going out to dinner, movies (this should have been first! He won’t read this anyway, so I’m safe. Ha!)
  6. Pray a lot
  7. Think positive thoughts
  8. Avoid listening to the negative news
  9. Watch happy/positive shows/movies
  10. Stay away from negative people
  11. Sing, dance and exercise to keep healthy & strong
  12. READ, WRITE AND BE HAPPY

Here are some suggestions for you:

  1. Read books that are filled with positive thoughts and ideas
  2. Peruse Jemsbooks.blog
  3. Read Jemsbooks
  4. THINK POSITIVE!

As I have mentioned I have been fighting a tough virus for over a month now. It can be daunting to be positive when you aren’t feeling well. I am doing my best by blogging almost every day about whatever comes into my mind. I hope this sickness too shall pass. I have a call into my doctor for something positive about it. This will be my third call and second doctor that I spoke to with very little results. That is why I am doing a lot of praying to lift this veil off of me so I can get back to normal. What is normal for me? Who knows.

If you are looking for some positive, good-feeling, and enjoyable books, check out all the covers to the right of this post. I hope you will find one that will make you happy. My latest books, Make Believe: Bedtime Stories for Children Book 1, Make Believe is Fun: Bedtime Stories for Children Series Book 2 make for some fun and positive reading for your kids, and The Misunderstood Angel: Branyrd the Angel Series Book 1 is definitely a positive book for YA and adults to put anyone in a good frame of mind. They are both fun and entertaining too.

Jemsbooks Children’s books are available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

Novels for 18+ books are available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble and also by clicking on covers to the right of this post.

Purchase YA books here.

I began writing these two series simultaneously. They made me feel light-hearted and positive. I hope they will do that for you too. By escaping into the worlds of these books you will forget your troubles and cheer for the characters to be successful in whatever they endeavor to do.

It’s true that Branyrd the Angel in the book deals with sensitive and serious issues of today, but she finds solutions to the problems that no one else seems to be able to do. Don’t we all need an ANGEL in our lives to solve our problems? I know I do. That is why I began this series to help those in need and save our world. Did I pique your interest yet? I hope so. I am currently working on Book 2 in the Branyrd Series and hope to have it completed in a couple of months or sooner.

Of course all the other books are entertaining and uplifting, even the mysteries with their positive feedback and successful resolutions.

Thank you for stopping by to read this post. I hope you will stay positive and strong, healthy and happy always. Keep reading and reviewing and I will keep writing! Thank you for your kind support!

Blessings & Hugs! Stay Safe, Stay Well and God Bless!

Staying away from mainstream media is a good idea as is staying away from negative people. I also find being grateful every day helps as well. I once read if you are thankful for three things first thing every morning the rest of the day goes well. I find it works! Reading positive blogs like yours is another great idea. xo

  2. It’s a conscious choice every minute of every day! ❤
