Update – WIP coming along!

I have been sick with some kind of virus for three weeks now. I was told by my doctor that it has to run its course and could last for 4 1/2 weeks! Yikes! Well, I’m not letting any pesty viruses stop me from working on my WIP and crocheting three afghans in that time. I may even begin a sewing project next after I complete this latest WIP. It takes a lot to get me down and out for the count!

My WIP is book 2 of Branyrd the Angel Series. In this series the Angel Branyrd must deal with some serious issues in our world today. I know that I cannot solve the problems of the world, but I hope Branyrd can in each book.

There is so much unrest, tension, and warring factions everywhere that it is difficult not to feel helpless. Writing this series enables me to be more in control since I am pulling the strings so to speak with my characters.

I write about women in many of my books – strong, resilient and capable women who are not afraid to take on the toughest tasks, who strive to pave the way for others, who create change and make a difference in their lives and those of others.

This newest book in the series deals with a sensitive issue that is happening all over the world. I will not give away my premise at this time. I will be showcasing Branyrd in her newest mission over the next month or so when I give you a sneak peek of the beautiful cover created by my talented, handsome, sweet husband. He hates it when I talk about him like this. He likes to stand in the wings and let me take the bows or credit for all the work he does. I couldn’t do any of this without his support. So, here’s to John – kudos ten-fold!

If you haven’t checked out Branyrd’s first book in this series, here is the link below. She is funny, sweet and tough when she needs to be but most of all determined to make a difference in the world and help others in the process to find their way back to live a good life.

Blurb:

This is not a children’s book. Branyrd is a different kind of angel. She has a difficult time being understood because of her habit of getting into all kinds of trouble and for her unacceptable language. Angels are not supposed to swear.

This angel must earn levels to be accepted by the LORD. She is presently at Angel Fourth Class and must ascend to Angel First Class in order to be given a mission to travel to Earth to help a human in trouble.

Once she reaches Angel First Class, she is given a mission and travels to Earth to help a battered woman and her child. Since she is so new to the ways on Earth, Branyrd is accompanied by her Guardian Angel Benedicto, Angel First Class on High, who guides and advises her.

Branyrd doesn’t know what she will do or how she will complete this mission. She must show her strengths and succeed, or she may be demoted. What she finds on Earth is not what she expected. It certainly is nothing like Heaven. There are dangerous people but also those who she will miss dearly when she must leave.

Life is so fleeting not only in my book but in our world today. I am a worry wart and worry about everything and everyone. Please take care of yourselves and stay strong.

This series is considered 18+ but young adults can handle it. Parents check out this book and you will see what I mean. I had to put 18+ because of some mild language and the subject matter that is relevant to our society today. I will give this book to my 13-year-old granddaughter when she reaches 15. It is also spiritual in a way showing kindness to those in need and forgiving the transgressions of the troubled.

I hope this series will lift your spirits, make a believer out of those who doubt that angels are real, and lighten your hearts. Check it out today and read a new kind of book with good against evil in our society today. Three cheers for Branyrd, a champion of all who need guidance and understanding.

Watch for more news about Branyrd’s new mission coming in March, fingers crossed, or sooner!

What can I say? You’re a dynamo even when sick!

    • jjspina says:

Just stubborn, I guess! I hate being sick and I fight back until it passes. Keeping busy keeps me from getting depressed! Thank you for your support, Noelle! If you would like a pdf or kindle of one of my books let me know. 💕

      • noelleg44 says:

So many to choose from! Thank you so much! What would you recommend for a three-year old?

      • jjspina says:

Most of my books are in rhyme. Young children love cadence. Does he love dragons? They are fun books with colorful illustrations and important life lessons. Check them out and also Louey, my personal favorite. He is sweet and endearing and I love the coloring book illustrations by my husband. It was our first book together. Let me know which one you want. I think he/she will enjoy any one of them. If I have one on hand I can mail and autograph a paperback to you. Children need to hold the book in their hands. Thank you for all your support and friendship! 💕 A review will be wonderful too! Ha! If you want a kindle of one of my novels for you I can send one along. Choose and let me know. ❤️

I just ordered Jerry the Crabby Crayfish. He loves aquatic animals and I think he’ll like this one! He is starting to pick out words (he knows all his letters, not bad for a not-yet 3-year-old) and I suspect he’ll be reading early. He has so many books, it’s hard to find something new!

      • jjspina says:

Thank you! Can I send you another book for him? Jerry was a special crayfish. I cried when he died. He really was crabby but comical and entertaining. How about Clarence Henry the Hermit Crab? 🥰 🦀

      • noelleg44 says:

Sounds wonderful, Janice. This will introduce you as an author to him!

      • jjspina says:

My pleasure, Noelle! I want to see kids reading. 💕
