A Night of Lights! Christmas Light Displays!

Recently my husband and I went to dinner with my brother and his wife and afterward my brother took us around town to see the Christmas light display. I didn’t realize there were so many houses that were this elaborately displayed! They were breathtakingly beautiful and intricate with music displays timed with the lights on a radio station that you had to tune to in order to hear the music and appreciate the difficulty and incredible work it took to complete.

These photos can’t show how detailed and beautiful these houses were decorated. Sorry. I guess you will have to believe me when I say I was in awe of the dedication of these families who put time, effort and money into their fabulous light displays! Kudos to them.

Here is my latest light display in our house – a fiber optic wreath to match our little tree and some colored lights to display my caroler collection. A mere comparison to the houses above. But we are doing our best to shine here.

The wreath keeps changing colors in multi-colored combos. It’s incredible to watch! It is more impressive in person. But I guess my photos will have to suffice.

I love to have our house looking so festive with both our families coming within less than a week of each other for our Christmas celebrations. We do two parties since there are so many of them. This way we get to spend time with my husband’s side one day and my family another night. Each year there are more with grandchildren bringing girlfriends/boyfriends and getting married and then new babies! Thankfully our basement is large enough to house them all and everyone has a wonderful time.

After all, it is the time for children. I can’t wait to see the faces of the youngest ones when ‘Santa’ (my husband) comes to visit with gifts for all. Even the adults get into the celebration of welcoming Ole St. Nick. It’s a fun time for everyone!

Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas or Hanukkah and a healthy and Happy New Year ahead! It will all be here before we know it.

Thank you so much for stopping by to read this post. Come back again soon! You are always welcome! Thank you for your kind support and for any reviews you may post wherever you purchased my books.

Blessings & Hugs! Stay Safe, Stay Well and God Bless!

Love the lights! We will have a few around here (not supposed to but we do it anyway). A lot of people leave for the holidays to visit family.
