Halloween is a fun time for kids all ages. They love receiving sweets of all kinds. But do you want them eating that many sweets? No, of course not!

When my kids were young and trick-or-treating, I would inspect their bags and sneak out a few of my favorites (without their knowledge, ha) and throw out what was suspect, much to their chagrin. You know what I mean. There are always funky-looking packages of candy or candy in a baggy which was packaged by others’ hands. Yuck! Nowadays parents have to be even more aware of what their children bring home from their travels on Halloween. Be careful and when in doubt about some candy, throw it out! Your children are too precious.

I think the best way to solve that problem is by buying books for kids all ages. Parents will know the books are safe, nothing suspect, and no cavities are ever caused from reading. My books are safe from anything harmful, written in a fun way without anything unsavory for the middle-graders’, preteens’ or young adults’ eyes. I assure you of this.

These two series are for ages 11+ but advanced readers at age 8 have been reading these chapter books with ease. Even if your children can’t read these yet, you can read the books to them. I think you will enjoy them immensely too!

Since I am a mother and grandmother, I always worry about what my kids and now my grandkids read. It is especially so when they are younger. I would read every book that they read to ensure that the content was satisfactory to my high standards.

That is why as an author I write only fun, entertaining and clean books for kids, so parents don’t have to worry. Parents have enough to worry about as it is. Right? I make your life easier when you have to choose books for your children to read. You are welcome!

Here are some suggestions for Halloween gift giving. I have 12 books for MG/PT/YA – two series one for girls and one for boys – but these books are read and loved by both boys and girls. Adults love them to. If you are an adult, you will feel like a kid again and be swept back in time to your preteens when you read these books. Many adults have written reviews telling this. That is the way I felt when I wrote them. You have to admit, parents, that sometimes even we need something light-hearted and fun to read to get away from the intense or violent books that are out there. So, parents, have fun reading these books before or after your kids do. It will give you both something to talk about too! Wow! That’s a great idea! I wish I had thought about that! Oh, I just did! Sigh!
