Fun reading for your MG/PT!

Are your middle-graders and preteens looking for some fun and entertaining reading? Now that school is back in session kids still need to read for enjoyment. Sometimes when kids are forced to read a book, they don’t enjoy it as much as a book they have chosen themselves.

When I wrote my two middle-grade and preteen series, Davey & Derek Junior Detective Series and the Abby & Holly Series, I never imagined that I would win so many awards for my work. It was thrilling and gratifying though and enabled me to continue being motivated to keep writing.

If your MG/PT have not read any of these two series, maybe now is the time for them to begin reading these two award-winning series for fun and entertaining reading. Begin with book 1 of each series to get a feel for the characters even though each book is a stand alone story. Both boys and girls have enjoyed these books and adults too!

When my kids were preteens I read some of their books to see what they were reading. I enjoyed them as much as my children did along with the discussions we had about what we liked about each one. If you have time, it’s a good idea to look closely at what your children are reading. With Jemsbooks there will never be any worries. All my books for children/MG/PT/YA are good, clean and wholesome in content with valuable life lessons that will stay with them for a lifetime.

MG/PT/YA books are available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

Davey and Derek Donato are twins, but not identical, who love to play detective. They are always ready for adventure living in the sleepy little town of Lindon where nothing happens. The twins overhear about a sixth grader who lost her cell phone. The fifth grader twins kick into detective mode to solve their first case with the help of their friends, Mickey Catonni, aka cat. Things don’t seem to add up when a bully gets into the mix.

Davey & Derek Junior Detectives Series is a fun and magical series with spells, wands, a black cat, good witches, time travel, ghost hunting and more. There are also life lessons that include being kind, caring and respectful toward others, listen to parents, be helpful and do chores, and bullying is never tolerated or accepted. Parents love this series too! When your MG/PT/YA read these books you will rest easy that they are reading good, clean and wholesome books. What more could you want in a book for your children? Parents are reading and enjoying them too!

PINNACLE BOOK ACHIEVEMENT AWARD WINNER!
READERS’ FAVORITE BOOK AWARDS – BRONZE MEDAL!

This is Book 1 of a series of Abby & Holly books. These two girls were first introduced in Book 5 of the Davey & Derek Junior Detectives Series.
The girls are first cousins on their mothers’ side. They moved to the quiet town of Lindon, New Hampshire and live in a grand old Victorian which is haunted.
The cousins are excited about attending the 6th grade dance. When their friend, Justine, is bullied, Abby and Holly, along with the help of a ghost and Davey & Derek, work together to formalize a plan to put a stop to the bullying.

Abby & Holly Series provides more fun and ghostly adventures with cousins, Abby & Holly, as they discover things in their old Victorian and go back to the past to solve mysteries. There are ghosts, a haunted house, time travel, mysteries, and magic. Life lessons will also be learned about friendship, family, respect, love and caring for one another, and bullying will never be accepted or tolerated! MG/PT/YA will be hooked and parents will feel good about the quality of books their children are reading! Adults are reading and enjoying them also!

This Abby & Holly Series has won 8 Book Awards – 6 Pinnacle Book Achievement Awards and 2 Readers’ Favorite Book Awards – Bronze Medal, and an Honorable Mention!

Did you know that reading is good for you? It not only increases your word vocabulary and stimulates your mind, but also gives you a feeling of wellbeing and promotes good health, dispels feelings of loneliness, improves your memory, promotes better patterns of sleep, and don’t forget – it brings families closer when they share and read books together.

My goal in writing for MG/PT/YA is to encourage all ages to read daily to enhance their creativity, increase their vocabulary and enable them to live healthier and happier lives. Keep reading and I will keep writing. Thank you! Happy Reading!
