5.0 out of 5 stars Loved this book! Reviewed in the United States on July 30, 2022

I have been patiently waiting for the second book of Janice Spina’s The Gateskin Chronicles, The Unknown Territory”, and it did not disappoint. The saga of King Gateskin and his family continues, with some new characters, even more creepy new creatures, and new edge of your seat adventures. Dark magic and evil continue to plague the King as he tries to protect both his family and his loyal subjects. Things get pretty scary at times for them all, even the King’s wizards! Young adult readers (as well as adults!) will have trouble putting this book down, as I did!

Blurb:

The adventures continue in this addition of Gateskin Chronicles. Many new characters and creatures are introduced. Spells abound with magic all around. Many visitors come to Sovorotskina looking for asylum from the evil King Kaposkaran of Parotovina. Will King Gateskin accept them all or even be able to trust them not to be spies for the evil King?

Serena uses her powers to assist when wolves come their way. Other creatures are also about and threaten the safety of the village.

Kaposkaran finds himself in trouble when his village is attacked by creatures. Will he turn to Gateskin for help? If he does, what will Gateskin do?

There is a spy about in Sovorotskina. Will the spy be discovered and somehow stopped from undermining the magic of King Gateskin and his family?

The adventures continue in this new book. I have already begun Book 3 in this series but do not expect to publish it until 2023 some time.

In the meantime enjoy Books 1 & 2 in order so you will get to know the characters and the adventures in order of occurrence. I hope you will enjoy this epic series.
